Where's Waldo: The Great Picture Hunt was released in 2006. The reader is not only challenged to find Waldo and his friends, but also thirty individuals throughout all 12 scenes whose faces are framed in portraits on the first "Exhibit." The back of the book also contains stickers of Waldo, Wenda, Wizard Whitebeard, Woof and Odlaw. There are also stickers of picture frames which can be placed around the characters found throughout the book.
The Great Picture Hunt contains 12 scenes - however some are remade or inspired by previous books, and others are printings of previously published Where's Waldo scenes. "The Monsterous Monsters", "Land of Sports" and "Among the Pirates" were previously published in Where's Waldo: The Magnificent Poster Book!. The Great Picture Hunt contained Waldo's third visit to the Land of Waldos (the location was previously seen in The Great Waldo Search and The Ultimate Fun Book.) The Great Picture Hunt also contains an updated versions of "Old Friends" (a concept previously seen in a black and white coloring page of The Ultimate Fun Book and the pages of portraits in The Ultimate Fun Book and The Magnificent Poster Book).
